Heads up, followers!

So this GDPR stuff is purely good news, right? Well… almost.

Look, here’s the thing. I have a paid account with WordPress, but that doesn’t cover help with this personal data malarkey. Now, I have zero time and patience to faff about with un-storing random people’s IP addresses, so I’m thinking about closing this blog. Yep, sorry. That’s the way of the world, things change, and I don’t want to be a sitting duck when internet trolls start targeting small time bloggers for shits and giggles.

If you still want to see my pictures, I’ll probably keep posting on Instagram (username ingela_bohm), but maintaining GDPR security on this blog is beyond my capabilities. So… it’s been great, but this is probably goodbye.

It all appears pretty vague and confused out there with regards to this. I have a free blog and it appears we have the same responsibilties, too. May be things will become clearer, and hopefully soon! I hope you hold onto your blog until more info is forthcoming until then!

PS I was not aware of this until you posted, which prompted me to do my own post, so thank you!

Yeah, it’s confusing at best! Different support pages say different things. One says any request can be routed to staff, but I chatted with support and they said I was fully responsible and any request to them about my blog would be routed to me! Best of lucm with your blog and here’s hoping for a solution!

I found there was no real coherent information regarding this at the moment, and you would ahve thought there would be this close to the deadline. I will wait and see, it might be a few simple things we have to do to fix it.

Yes, it’s all a bit strange considering every other company has been in touch about this. Hopefully it’ll all work out for everyone.

hello Ingela, sorry, but I can not fully understand, maybe not managing the language, I fail, it would be a pity that you close the blog, personally I arrived (by blog Jonna Jinton) and I was waiting for your publications, for your precious photographs and videos, your personal way of writing your publications, between ironic, acid, black humor and a certain irony, and your funny way of expressing sometimes, because I recognize myself in many of the ways in which you express yourself, (although I confess that I am not Gay), ha ha ha… maybe it’s because we’re the same age, or tastes, I do not know… although we are from different countries, and that adds up the difference in language, ha ha ha…

I hope that things that complicate you are solved, and if not, then I’ll see you on Instagram, or maybe on Facebook, if it does not bother you or you do not want to, of course… I understand…

the time that I visited you, I liked it, and I expected your publications, but as you say, everything changes, and your reasons are respectable, so sincerely, an affectionate embrace from a distance, both, you and your husband, they look great together, and he plays very well in his group, seeing it in the videos that you published at the time… a lot of strength and encouragement in your projects.

we are in contact, a hug, fernando.

Thank you so much for your support! It’s been fun reading your comments. I’ll post pictures on instagram and Facebook, so you’re welcome to follow me there. The issue with the blog is new legislation that requires site owners to be much more aware of how data is stored and used, and I’m not tech savvy enough for that. I’m sorry to disappoint, but if WordPress doesn’t come up with a miracle today, I can see no other solution but to leave. 😦
